Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or eligibility
- Previous experience providing speech-language services in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes, IDEA compliance, and best practices in school-based speech therapy
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and set measurable goals for student progress
- Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative services to students, both individually and in groups
- Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Partner with teachers, parents, and educational specialists to integrate speech-language strategies into classroom activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
