Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Odessa, Delaware
Engage students and make a direct impact on communication skills by providing speech and language services to a diverse middle school caseload for the remainder of the academic year. This full-time contract role near Odessa, DE, begins around March 30, 2026 and runs through June 16, 2026, with an option to extend into the summer session (July 7 through August 6). You'll enjoy a balanced schedule—just three days per week at 4-5 hours per day—allowing you to focus your expertise and maintain flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- State licensure as an SLP, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- CCC-SLP or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) applicants welcome
- Pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP experience highly valued
- Ability to collaborate with educational staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to middle school students in group and/or individual settings
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Manage documentation, progress reports, and update IEPs according to school and state requirements
- Consult and communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support academic and social growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and school-based team initiatives
- Mitigate barriers to learning through evidence-based interventions
