Step into an impactful contract position supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant New Orleans area. This full-time opportunity focuses on PreK students (ages 3-5) across various sites, giving you the chance to make a significant difference during the 2026-27 academic year. Working as an itinerant SLP, you’ll experience a dynamic, hands-on role, collaborating with dedicated education professionals and helping young children achieve important milestones.
Key Qualifications:
- Current SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children, specifically with PreK populations
- Knowledge of speech/language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and IEP processes within an educational setting
- Solid communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to travel between school sites as needed (itinerant role)
- Available for onsite, in-person work throughout the contract period
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized therapy plans, and deliver direct services to preschool-age students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress and meet IEP goals
- Document and maintain thorough records of assessments, treatment plans, and student progress
- Attend and participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and other school activities as required
- Travel between assigned campuses to support students in their learning environments
