Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in New London, CT
Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) seeking a fulfilling contract role serving elementary and middle school students in the Mystic area. This in-person position begins as soon as possible and extends through June, offering the chance to make a direct impact within a supportive educational setting. As a valued team member, you'll help students achieve communication milestones, collaborate with educational professionals, and enjoy consistent weekday hours from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds current Connecticut SLP license and CT SLP certification
- Meets SLP-CCC standards and is experienced in school-based settings
- Comfortable managing diverse caseloads at the elementary and middle school level
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passionate about helping children thrive within the school environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students, fostering both academic and social communication growth
- Evaluate student needs and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to meetings with educational teams
- Work across both elementary and middle school campuses, adjusting strategies for varying age groups
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student goals and progress
