This opportunity is for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services during the Extended School Year (ESY) for K-12 students. The role is contract-based and located in Wilmington, DE, serving a diverse range of student populations across multiple sites. Ideal candidates will hold a current Delaware SLP license and be available to work Monday through Thursday on a schedule suited to the specific site assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to elementary, secondary, early childhood, or transition-age students as assigned.
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery according to district and state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on individualized education programs (IEPs).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not mandatory.
- Completion of a clinical fellowship (CF) is considered; however, Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) are not eligible.
- Ability to work effectively with students ranging from early childhood through transition-age (18-22 years).
- Clear understanding of ESY service requirements and scheduling flexibility to accommodate site-specific hours.
Work Schedule and Locations:
- Monday through Thursday, 7:05 AM – 2:35 PM with a 30-minute paid lunch.
- Multiple sites including elementary, secondary, early childhood education, and transition programs.
- Start dates are June 22 and 23, 2026, concluding August 7, 2026.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must agree to submit to an $85 criminal background check fingerprinting fee.
