Step into an exciting full-time opportunity providing speech and language services to elementary-aged students in a supportive school-based setting. This contract position offers 35 hours per week onsite and supports thriving educational communities near New Britain, CT. There are two openings available, potentially involving service at two close-knit school sites with a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will leverage their skills and experience to help students succeed academically and socially, using innovative approaches tailored to elementary caseloads. The role requires strong professional communication, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering student progress and inclusivity.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Connecticut
  • Previous experience in school settings working with elementary caseloads
  • Familiarity with delivering services onsite in a school environment
  • Ability to travel between two nearby school sites as needed
  • District fingerprinting and background clearance required before start
  • Upfront licensing is advantageous
  • SLPAs are not being considered for this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students based on their IEPs
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain timely documentation and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and support district-wide initiatives
  • Adjust services based on student response and team input
