School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - New Britain, Connecticut
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available for a full semester contract at an elementary school in New Britain, CT. This position offers a chance to work with a diverse elementary caseload, providing vital speech-language services that support student communication development.
Qualified candidates will hold a Connecticut Speech Language Pathologist license and a Connecticut Teaching certificate. While ASHA CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence) are preferred, candidates currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFYs) will also be considered. The position is scheduled to start as soon as possible, with the potential for contract renewal based on performance and fit.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut SLP license and Teaching certificate
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (preferred) or Clinical Fellowship Year eligible
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage an elementary school caseload effectively
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records and documentation as required by school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
