Work will span several school environments, including PreK, elementary, middle, and high schools near Vanceboro, New Bern, and Havelock, with influence reaching into neighboring areas such as James City, Newport, Merrimon, Emerald Isle, and Cedar Island, NC. Interviews are being scheduled now for SLP-CCC and CFY candidates passionate about supporting student success.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellow (CFY)
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and virtual delivery of services is a plus
- Skilled in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing IEPs
- Comfortable working with a caseload of 50-55 students across multiple grade levels
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in PreK through high school
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other school professionals, teachers, and families
- Implement interventions in person or via teletherapy as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support teams
