Speech Language Pathologist in Naperville, IL
Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a contract Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary school environment. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break, allowing for a balanced schedule and meaningful engagement with students and colleagues. You’ll work closely with an elementary caseload, focusing primarily on our STARS students, providing your expertise to a group of approximately 40 students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois SLP license and relevant certifications required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- School-based experience preferred, especially with elementary-aged children
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to tailor therapy and interventions to diverse student needs
- Passion for empowering students with speech and language challenges
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for caseload
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy to STARS students and collaborating staff
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
