Pediatric School-Based SLP | Naperville, Illinois
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 school setting located in Naperville, IL, supporting students with diverse needs. This direct hire role operates onsite with standard staff hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. Candidates who are licensed SLPs or SLP Clinical Fellows (CFYs) with pediatric experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to students in a school and residential program specializing in adverse/aggressive behaviors.
- Manage clinical caseloads involving students exhibiting self-harm, property destruction, elopement, and aggression, maintaining a safe and structured therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and residential staff to develop and implement effective communication strategies and behavior interventions.
- Document progress and participate in team meetings to support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or SLP Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) eligible.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school-based settings.
- Comfort and ability to work with students demonstrating aggressive and challenging behaviors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to individual student needs.
- Commitment to onsite work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
