School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Naperville, Illinois
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Naperville, IL, area! With a dynamic caseload of 35 students, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful difference for teenagers with specific learning disabilities. This position is part-time, covering three days per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 27th. Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience in a high school setting strongly preferred
- Skilled working with students with specific learning disabilities (not intellectual disabilities)
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted speech and language therapy to high school students
- Support students’ success within Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, including progress reports and updates
- Serve as a vital team member, working closely with special education staff and classroom teachers
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress
