Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Naperville, IL, area! With a dynamic caseload of 35 students, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful difference for teenagers with specific learning disabilities. This position is part-time, covering three days per week, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 27th. Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate endorsement
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Experience in a high school setting strongly preferred
  • Skilled working with students with specific learning disabilities (not intellectual disabilities)
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Collaborative approach to working with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted speech and language therapy to high school students
  • Support students’ success within Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation, including progress reports and updates
  • Serve as a vital team member, working closely with special education staff and classroom teachers
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress
