An onsite contract opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve a dynamic student population for the current school year through late May. This full-time opening involves working with a caseload of 60-65 students and includes the responsibility of supervising up to two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs). While bilingual abilities are appreciated, they are not a requirement for this role.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, valid SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong skills in evaluation, assessment, and developing IEPs
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a plus, but not mandatory
- Demonstrated organizational and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech/language therapy and assessment for a diverse school-based caseload
- Write and maintain comprehensive evaluation reports and progress notes
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Supervise, support, and give feedback to SLPAs as assigned
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to best support student needs
- Participate in special education meetings and contribute expertise to student planning
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
