A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in the New Orleans, LA area, specifically serving elementary schools on the west bank. This onsite contract position offers 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday based on the school calendar, providing support to students within Jefferson Parish schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to elementary-aged students within assigned schools.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments, provide therapy, and maintain accurate documentation according to district guidelines.
- Adhere to all district policies including time-sensitive credentialing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Ability to complete required drug screen and fingerprinting clearance.
- Experience working with school-age children is strongly preferred.
