Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Meriden, Connecticut
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from April 15 to June 11 in schools serving students in 4th through 8th grades. This contract opportunity is ideal for a professional with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) interested in providing direct support to students in both intermediate and middle school settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy to students in 4th-8th grades
- Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to pediatric school populations
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate therapeutic documentation
- Adapt therapy for diverse learning needs and support teletherapy as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience working in school settings preferred; qualification may vary depending on years of experience
- Pediatric speech-language pathology skills, including articulation, fluency, language, voice, and social communication
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery
- CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates with appropriate CCC status considered
