Speech Language Pathologist in Media, PA
Step into an impactful role supporting middle and high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a thriving educational environment. This full-time, onsite opportunity spans the academic year, starting as soon as possible and extending through June 10, 2027. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and make a meaningful difference in students’ communication and academic growth.
Ideal candidates bring previous experience in school settings and a solid background working within urban districts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing a diverse caseload, providing direct services, conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and communicating student progress with families and staff. Your schedule will reflect a 35-hour work week, with required availability during standard school hours, between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM. Please note, flexibility in scheduling cannot be accommodated.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid SLP-CCC and Pennsylvania licensure
- Previous school-based SLP experience, especially at the middle and high school levels
- Proven ability to complete all required PA clearances
- Experienced in urban educational settings
- Comfortable working onsite in a district environment
- Reliable transportation is essential
- Able to commit to a set schedule with prompt, consistent attendance
- General knowledge of IEPs, speech-language interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy on-site
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with school staff, families, and other service providers
