This full-time, onsite contract provides the opportunity to work hands-on with students, make a significant impact within the school community, and collaborate with fellow educators. Two positions are available: one serving a single elementary site and another covering several locations across Washington and Greene Counties.
Desired Background and Credentials
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate (required)
- School-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability and willingness to commute between assigned sites across counties
Role Highlights
- Provide direct speech-language services to a diverse school-aged caseload
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Document services and progress per required guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents for student success
- Participate in required pre-service training August 13th, 14th, and if applicable, August 17th, prior to the academic year start.
- Positions include:
• A single-campus assignment at Washington Park Elementary with a caseload of approximately 50 students
• An itinerant assignment providing support at multiple sites including Bethlehem-Center Elementary, Fort Cherry Elementary, and Waynesburg, with regular weekday travel
