Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Monroe, NC
Step into a contract opportunity supporting students in dynamic school settings for the 2026–2027 academic year. Four Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) roles are available, with two currently outlined and others soon to be confirmed. The team is searching for experienced professionals who are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
What You'll Need:
- Current North Carolina SLP license and valid Educator Certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Extensive experience with a variety of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)/Speech Generating Devices, especially for students who are nonverbal or minimally verbal
- Demonstrated success working in school-based settings, preferably with students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Compassionate approach to care and flexible collaboration with colleagues
- For one pending assignment, fluency in both Spanish and English is required
- SLP-CFYs may be considered; SLPAs will not be accepted
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support high school students (approx. 25–35) primarily on support plans, working alongside a seasoned and supportive SLP
- Deliver services 1–2 days per week onsite at the high school, with potential for additional hours across district placements
- Collaborate closely with education and therapy staff, tailoring strategies to each student’s communication needs
- For bilingual assignment, provide speech and language interventions in both Spanish and English
- Participate in pre- and post-planning as needed for comprehensive student support
