Openings are available for SLPs who are passionate about school-based practice, collaborative work, and serving diverse student populations. Multiple positions exist to accommodate different availability, whether you're seeking part-time (one or two days per week) or a more involved schedule across several school sites.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- NC State License and Educator Certification mandatory
- SLP-CFYs considered; no SLPAs at this time
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP (CCC-SLP) highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, especially for high school assignments
- Spanish-English bilingual fluency required for designated bilingual role
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 25–35 high school students, focusing on support plans and AAC interventions (for high school assignment)
- Collaborate with a dedicated SLP colleague to develop and implement effective speech and language support strategies
- Assess, diagnose, and provide indirect services for students with significant medical and communication needs
- Flexible assignment structures possible, with opportunities to expand hours by taking on additional schools or caseloads
- Serve as a valuable resource for staff and families in navigating AAC use and communication supports
