Bring your expertise to a meaningful contract position supporting young learners in a dynamic early childhood environment. This opportunity is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for making a difference in the lives of preschool children. You'll be working full-time with a PreK caseload (ages 3-5), providing itinerant, onsite speech and language services throughout the academic year.
Your commitment will run from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027, working 37.5 hours each week in a collaborative, supportive school setting. This onsite-only role allows for direct engagement with students, educators, and families while developing individualized supports that encourage communication success during these formative years.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) appropriate for practice in a public school setting
- Previous experience in schools or working specifically with early childhood/pre-K populations
- Strong collaborative, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to an itinerant schedule, traveling between classroom sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive speech-language assessments for students ages 3-5
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, other support staff, and families
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and other professional development activities
