Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state license to practice as an SLP in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse learner needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct evaluations and participate in team meetings to develop individualized education plans
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, assessments, and progress notes
- Adapt therapy materials and strategies to match each student's unique learning profile
