School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) Job
Blazer Jobs is partnering with school districts near Los Angeles, California to hire a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) for the upcoming school year. Position Overview:
- Full-time, school-based contract role
- Location: Los Angeles, California area
- Hourly pay range: $59–$71 based on experience
Requirements:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification or authorization for school-based services
- Compliance with California Department of Education and local district requirements
- Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting
- Prior school-based experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success planning
