School Speech Language Pathologist - Los Angeles, California
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a school-based role serving students from PreK through 8th grade. This contracted position lasts for the full school year and involves delivering therapy in a virtual format with required in-person assessments. The focus is on supporting students with autism, nonverbal communication challenges, and severe behavioral needs.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified and licensed SLP-CCC required (no waivers accepted)
- Experience working with elementary-age students (PreK-8th grade)
- Skilled in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies
- Proficient in SEIS and SEIS billing procedures
- Experience providing push-in and push-out therapy services
- Comfortable working across 1-2 school sites
- Ability to support students with autism and severe behaviors
Location: Virtual position based in Los Angeles, CA, with local in-person assessments (no VOCO technology used).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual speech-language evaluations and therapy sessions for students in grades PreK-8
- Perform in-person assessments as required while ensuring compliance with therapy plans
- Collaborate with educational teams to design and execute individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and complete SEIS documentation and billing
- Provide both push-in therapy within classroom settings and pull-out therapy sessions as needed
- Support students exhibiting nonverbal communication and complex behavioral challenges
