Join a dedicated school environment in Los Angeles, CA, as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to support a diverse student population with speech and language needs at a single location, providing targeted therapy in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering speech and language services to approximately 55 students with speech impairments.
  • Collaborating with existing SLP colleagues and special education staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Supporting students in three specialized SDC classes, each with 10 students, ensuring effective communication skill development.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and district standards.
  • Participating in regular meetings to coordinate services and monitor student outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid credential or license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with school-based experience.
  • Previous experience working in K-12 school settings, particularly with students who have speech and language impairments.
  • Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and best practices applicable in educational environments.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work 30 hours per week on site.

This contract position involves supporting one location with two SLPs on staff; you will cover duties during a full-time colleague’s leave, ensuring continuity of care and services. The work schedule is 30 hours per week, offering a focused, impactful role within the elementary school setting.
