School Speech Language Pathologist - Locust Grove, Virginia
Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students’ communication and language development in a full-time school-based position. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), open to both SLP-CCC and clinical fellows (CFs). The assignment is for 37.5 hours per week, serving a K-12 caseload. Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and certification (SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow)
- Background in school-based SLP services strongly preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Eagerness to work with diverse student populations in grades K-12 (indicate preference if applicable)
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Maintain precise documentation of student progress and compliance with school and federally mandated guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to foster student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and parent conferences as required
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and technology to engage students
