Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted speech-language therapy for a single student, focusing on AAC strategies and alternative communication methods.
- Collaborate with a dedicated educational team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation, adjusting approaches based on the student's evolving needs.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, support staff, and the student's family to maximize engagement and success.
- Commit to a consistent, weekly two-hour therapy schedule at one accessible school location during the second semester (January through end of school year).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Illinois state SLP license.
- Accepting SLPs with CCC or CFY status.
- Comfort and experience with non-verbal students and AAC device integration.
- Strong ability to build trust and rapport in a school-based collaborative setting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
