A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school located in Jordan, NY, serving primarily elementary students with some high school students included. This contract runs for the 2025–2026 school year, from September to June.
Role Overview:
You will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, focusing on assessment, therapy, and collaboration with educators and families to support speech and language development. Working closely with school staff, you will help create an inclusive environment for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing to goal setting
- Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational laws
