Step into a dynamic, full-time contract opportunity supporting students across multiple educational settings. Work onsite from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm, Monday through Friday, during the academic year. This vital role covers services at both a high school and a middle school, with the chance to contribute to additional locations as needed.
Your week will primarily be divided between the high school (three days) and other school sites (two days), allowing you to make an impact in diverse educational environments. At the high school, you’ll collaborate with special education classrooms, providing direct services for approximately 11 students, alongside "overflow" support at the middle school and potentially a third location.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Proficiency with assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech-language disorders in school-aged children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy to students in both high school and middle school populations
- Conduct evaluations and contribute to multidisciplinary IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records, service logs, and required documentation
- Adapt to a rotating schedule by managing time and caseload effectively across different buildings
