Compensation for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for this role is competitive, ranging from $35 to $45 per hour. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) will enjoy an hourly rate between $40 and $55.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility as an SLP or SLPA in Maine
- Experience with school-based, pediatric, or teletherapy clients welcomed
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations (K-12)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- CFY applicants encouraged; guidance provided
- Prior contract, pediatric, or healthcare SLP experience a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language programs
- Work creatively to support students’ communication goals in learning environments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for evaluations, progress, and compliance
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide ongoing feedback to stakeholders
- Adapt therapy delivery for in-person or teletherapy as needed
