Qualifications:
- Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Kansas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students, is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and families
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for high schoolers
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student's unique needs
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to foster supportive learning environments
- Conduct group and individual therapy sessions
- Track student progress, maintain detailed records, and report on outcomes
- Provide expertise on speech and language development during student meetings and consultations
- Participate in school-wide initiatives that support student success
