Your primary responsibility will involve direct service for a caseload of 60+ students, with collaborative support from an SLPA joining the team within a few weeks to further reduce and manage the load. The district acknowledges the current caseload size and is actively addressing support and coverage.
Key qualifications:
- Hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Valid state licensure for Kansas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
- Flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable working across multiple school environments
Core responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student goals
- Adapt service delivery based on caseload updates and evolving student needs
This contract position runs from ASAP through late May 2027, offering a consistent 37.5-hour workweek in a supportive school community.
