A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available starting August 2026 through May 2027 in the Fort Myers, FL area. Assignments are on-site within local schools, serving a range of student age groups depending on the specific location. Both full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) and potential part-time positions are open.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students in K-12 settings
- Evaluate, assess, and create individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state education and health guidelines
- Participate in meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active Florida Department of Health speech-language pathology license
- Clear and current fingerprint clearance through Florida's AHCA Clearinghouse or ability to obtain one; JLA badge required for school access
- Clinical Fellowship Certificate (CF) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team
