Speech Pathology - Herndon, VA
A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Leesburg, Virginia, focused on providing specialized support to students with diagnosed Autism, ranging in age from 5 to 22 years. This contract position offers a comprehensive schedule of 30-35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, starting in August. This role requires on-site presence and provides a supportive environment with available supervision for Clinical Fellows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Work closely with students diagnosed with Autism, addressing their unique communication needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation aligned with state guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure in Virginia, or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience in school settings, particularly working with students with Autism, is highly desired.
- Willingness to travel candidates open to rapid licensure and relocation are encouraged to apply.
- Clinical Fellows seeking supervision are welcome; however, SLP Assistants (SLPAs) cannot be considered.
