A full-year contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in pediatrics and school-based settings, providing support across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This position offers direct and consultative services to a diverse caseload in a school environment located in Lawrence, MI. The role involves travel to fulfill responsibilities effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to 38 elementary, 13 middle school, and 1 high school student
- Provide consultative support to educators and staff to enhance communication development and classroom inclusion
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the needs of students across different grades and abilities
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school and pediatric healthcare settings preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and educational professionals
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and adapt services as needed
Schedule and Contract Details:
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Full-year contract totaling 187 days (prorated based on remaining days in current school year)
- Potential continuation for the following school year based on successful fit and performance
- Traveling to the school location in Lawrence, MI is required as part of the role
