Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Laurel, MD
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with speech and language needs in a vibrant educational environment near Laurel, MD. Currently, immediate openings are available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP, SLP-CCC) to work across multiple school locations, with the flexibility to craft a full-time schedule by combining part-time assignments.
Openings are available at Wilde Lake High School (4 days/week, aiming for full-time at one site), Forest Ridge Elementary (4 days/week, also moving toward a 5-day schedule), and Hammond Middle School (3 days/week). These assignments have the potential to be combined for a comprehensive 37.5-hour work week. All roles begin as soon as possible and extend until June 9, 2027. This is a terrific opportunity to make a lasting impact working directly onsite with students and school teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Maryland SLP license required
- SLP-CCC credential preferred; consideration given to Clinical Fellows (CFYs)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech-language services
- Commitment to working onsite
- Ability to collaborate positively within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, adapting services to individual needs
- Assess, develop, and implement personalized intervention plans
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring
