Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Experience in a K-12 school setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and administrators
- Ability to manage caseloads, timelines, and student needs effectively
- Compassionate, resourceful, and adaptable in dynamic school environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and maintain IEPs and progress reports in accordance with district and legal requirements
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to support educational goals
- Deliver individual and group speech-language sessions aligned with student needs
- Communicate goals, progress, and recommendations with parents and guardians
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to student success
- Maintain accurate records and stay current with best practices in the field
