School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lapeer, MI
Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time school-based opportunity in Lapeer, Michigan, for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a great opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about working with young children and helping them develop essential speech, language, and communication skills in an early childhood educational setting.
Position Details

- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Setting: On-site, school-based position
- Caseload: Early Childhood/Preschool population

Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to preschool and early childhood students with diverse communication needs.
- Conduct speech and language evaluations, assessments, and screenings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related service providers.
- Participate in IEP meetings and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and student outcomes.
- Support the development of early communication, language, articulation, and social interaction skills.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.**
- Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood populations preferred.
- School-based speech therapy experience preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with young children and multidisciplinary educational teams.
- Must be available to work on-site in Lapeer, MI.
