A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide in-person therapy services during the 2024-2025 school year in Lancaster, CA. This role involves supporting students within an educational setting who have diverse communication needs, including those on the autism spectrum. The position requires a compassionate professional comfortable working directly with students to help enhance their speech and language skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and group speech therapy to students with various speech and language disorders, with a focus on autism spectrum conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Work on-site at the Lancaster, CA campus, ensuring consistent, in-person therapy sessions.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as needed, supporting overall team effectiveness.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license or certification, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred.
  • Experience in school-based speech therapy and familiarity with pediatric populations.
  • Comfort and proficiency in working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Ability to engage effectively in a collaborative educational environment.
  • Previous experience or interest in teletherapy is beneficial but not required for this in-person role.
  • Willingness to travel as part of the job responsibilities.
