School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lakewood, Washington
Step into an impactful role supporting K-12 students in the Lakewood/Tacoma area for the 2026–2027 academic year. This onsite, contract-based opportunity requires expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist and offers a meaningful way to make a difference across diverse school environments.

As the key SLP for on-site services, you will be delivering therapy, supporting IEP teams, and enabling students to reach their full academic and social potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current or eligible Washington SLP licensure (willingness to obtain WA licensure welcomed)
- Possess or be willing to secure a Washington ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI prior to start date
- Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) from ASHA strongly preferred
- Experience in a school setting with K-12 students is ideal
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment for speech, language, fluency, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs, document progress, and collaborate with teachers and families
- Maintain accurate records and stay current with state/federal education guidelines
- Advocate for students’ needs and contribute to a positive school environment
You’ll be working a 37.5-hour, full-time weekly schedule, from September 1, 2026, through June 23, 2027, offering continuity and stability for your caseload.
