School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Lake Zurich, Illinois

Step into a dynamic environment providing vital speech and language support to school-aged children in the Lake Zurich, IL area. This is a full-time, in-person contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a commitment from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027. In this role, you'll engage with students, faculty, and families to foster student success and growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Illinois SLP license
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work full-time, in person (approximately 33.25 hours/week) throughout the duration of the contract
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with teachers and other specialists
- Provide direct therapy and intervention services to students
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the overall learning environment
