Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license in Florida
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome and will receive supervision
- For select elementary schools this year: candidates with a Bachelor’s degree willing to work on a temporary teaching certificate are invited to apply (SLPA license not required for this assignment)
- Experience or interest in working with school-aged children
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Eagerness to contribute to student growth in both group and individualized settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and middle schools
- Conduct assessments and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and families, to ensure cohesive support for each student
- Document progress and recommend next steps in student therapy
- Supervise and mentor Clinical Fellows (CFs), if applicable
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training
