A full-time, full school year contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite services in a school setting located in Indio, CA. This position offers the chance to support a diverse student population within a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clearance (COC) required
- Highly encouraged to be bilingual in Spanish to meet the needs of the community
- Eligibility for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; new graduates (CFs) are welcome to apply
- Previous experience working in school settings with Special Education Information System (SEIS) preferred
- Familiarity with California Medicaid billing systems (Paradigm) is advantageous
- Ability to handle a caseload with mostly mild to moderate speech and language impairments, along with some students requiring more intensive support and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
Location:
- Indio, CA (onsite services required; priority given to local candidates before considering remote options)
- Position may involve itinerant work across multiple school sites within the district
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for students
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Comply with state and district policies including documentation and Medicaid billing procedures
