School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Puyallup, Washington
Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ growth and communication development in a school-based setting near Puyallup, WA. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you’ll collaborate closely with educators and the IEP team to design and deliver targeted interventions for students with developmental disabilities. This position offers a full-time schedule, working 37.5 hours per week onsite at a single school, allowing you to make consistent and meaningful impacts within the school community.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license for Washington State
- Holds (or eligible for) ESA Certification
- Open to candidates with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Experience (or enthusiasm for) working with students in school settings
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Capacity to conduct thorough speech, language, and communication evaluations
Responsibilities:
- Support students’ participation within the classroom through individualized interventions
- Complete comprehensive assessments and evaluations for those with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Partner with IEP teams to create, implement, and monitor student goals
- Provide consultation and resources to school staff and families to foster effective communication strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with state and district guidelines
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative educational environment
