School Speech Language Pathologist - Kent, WA
Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist, working 20 hours per week with PreK and K–4th grade learners. This short-term contract position is set in a vibrant school environment and will involve covering a leave of absence. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Experience providing SLP services in school settings, especially with PreK and elementary (K–4) students
- Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), assessment tools, and intervention strategies for school-aged children
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and needs as additional assignment details become available
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy to PreK through 4th grade students with communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with students’ academic and developmental goals
- Document progress, complete required paperwork, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to ensure effective support for each student
- Adjust strategies as needed in response to ongoing feedback and evolving student requirements
