This opportunity is onsite, itinerant across locations near Kenner, LA, from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027. You’ll play a key part in providing speech and language services to young children, helping shape developmental foundations during their formative years.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Valid SLP license and Louisiana certification required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in educational settings, ideally with children ages 3-5
- Strong understanding of childhood speech and language development
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work with a mobile, itinerant caseload
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to PreK students, ages 3-5, in a school setting
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ goals
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports as required by school and state guidelines
- Travel between school sites as assigned within the district (itinerant service delivery)
- Engage in regular team meetings and professional development
