Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
- Current SLP license in Texas
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to develop tailored therapy plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations with varying needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
- Maintain accurate session notes and progress documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school counselors to support student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate educational interventions
- Offer consultation and training to school staff as needed
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech-language pathology
