A reputable school district in Jonesborough, TN, is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite services. This full-time contract position offers approximately 35 hours per week, starting as soon as possible through the end of the current school year. The role involves working closely with a dedicated team of professionals, including two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), one speech teacher, and two external Sidekick therapists, to support student communication needs across the district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with varying communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students’ speech, language, and communication skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, SLPAs, and other specialists to coordinate care and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide consultative support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders in pediatric populations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and therapy team members.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered therapeutic services.
