SLP in Homer, LA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Homer, Louisiana. This contract position runs from December 1 to May 22 and involves working onsite at a high school campus, supporting students from diverse grade levels.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapy interventions tailored to student needs. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to monitor progress and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) will be essential. Maintaining detailed documentation and adhering to all relevant regulations and standards is required.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Eligibility or current licensure for SLP in Louisiana; candidates willing to obtain state licensure and travel are encouraged to apply
- Proven experience in school-based speech-language pathology services across the K-12 spectrum
- Ability to manage full caseloads independently and effectively
- Strong communication skills and aptitude for collaborative work within an educational environment
