Speech Therapist in Joliet, IL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school located in Joliet, IL. This leave replacement contract runs through the end of the current school year, ending on May 22, 2026. The role involves working directly on-site in a self-contained early childhood center setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to young students with communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Eligibility for Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a self-contained early childhood environment.
- On-site presence required; this role does not support virtual work.
