School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Jersey City, New Jersey

Two exciting contract opportunities are available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists in a vibrant, diverse district near Jersey City, NJ. These assignments offer the chance to make an immediate impact and may be combined into a full-year role as additional assignments become available due to upcoming extended leaves.
Role A is a 3 to 4-week assignment starting as soon as possible and running through mid-November. This position features a caseload of approximately 53 elementary students (grades K-4) with a focus on ESLS and inclusive classroom (ICR) support, across three sites. Role B offers a longer-term placement of 12 to 16 weeks, beginning October 26th and concluding February 15th. The caseload will be detailed during the interview process. Preference is given to SLPs holding the CCC credential, though Clinical Fellows may be considered if they can secure their own supervision.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid NJ SLP license and school certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Strong background in pediatric and special education settings
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage IEPs and participate in meetings
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Expected Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services (elementary setting)
- Collaborate with general and special education teachers in ICR/ESLS classrooms
- Conduct thorough assessments and participate actively in IEP development
- Maintain accurate and timely progress documentation
- Engage families and caregivers in student progress and support plans
