Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving elementary students for the Fall 2026 semester. We’re seeking three full-time speech-language pathologists (SLPs) committed to supporting children’s communication needs across two elementary schools, each with a high population of students in autism and preschool programs (grades K-5). This role is onsite only, beginning in September and lasting for 12 weeks.
Your expertise will help shape students’ day-to-day communication, social skills, and overall academic success in a dynamic learning environment with a supportive faculty.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Jersey SLP License required
- Valid NJ Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification
- CCC-SLP credential highly preferred (district cannot supervise CFs, but candidates with outside supervision are welcome)
- School-based experience with elementary and/or preschool-aged students, especially those on the autism spectrum, is preferred
- SLPAs are not eligible for these positions
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and implement evidence-based intervention for elementary students
- Develop and execute IEP goals for students in K–5, focusing on autistic and preschool populations
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families for individualized student support
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports for IEP compliance
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators about student progress
Assignment highlights:
- 35+ hours per week
- 12-week contract, September start
- Serve at one of the following: Matthew Jago #28 (Sewaren), Kennedy Park #24 (Iselin), or a school assignment to be determined
